Thank You Letters to the Frontline Workers

During these unparalleled, and honestly pretty scary times, most of us have a social responsibility to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying home and staying safe; but not everyone. Doctors, nurses, and other medical staff, as well as police, firefighters, grocery store employees, postal/delivery workers, gas station attendants, public transportation workers, mental health and social services workers, farmers, and countless other “essential workers” are putting themselves in harm’s way daily so the rest of us can stay safe.

Here at Chill, we are all about inspiring others, and we need your help to do just that! While you’re chilling at home, take some time to write a thank you card or two to the frontline workers in your area. Whether you write to someone you’ve interacted with directly or a general letter to a local business, hospital, or public service, just let them know that their efforts and sacrifices are meaningful and appreciated. It will mean a lot to them!

If you’d like some help getting started, we’ve put together some helpful information for you below:

  • Click the links for a general letter template that you can use (PDF or Word Doc). Just fill in the blanks and change specific information as needed, and you’re all set. We also recommend hand-writing your letters for an added personal touch.

  • Click the links for a list of hospitals, long-term care facilities, and their addresses in each of our program locations around North America (PDF or Word Doc). It’s far from a complete list, but it’s a good starting place. You can find addresses for many additional businesses and organizations in your area just by Googling the name or visiting the contact page on their website. If you can’t find an address there, you can always give them a call on the phone and as for the best address.

  • If you need some inspiration, check out the photos of thank you letters below. Don’t be afraid to draw pictures, add some color, put on stickers, or anything else that adds some flair. The more fun you have fun making it, the more fun it’ll be to receive!
